Why do I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't officially recieved this?
Alot of people may have manually updated to 2.1. The OTA update was supposed to be completed Friday I believe, so give it another day or so.
I haven't received the OTA yet either, so you shouldn't be worried.
Same here...beginning to feel a little alone and left out.

The original plan is apparently still being followed. 1000 at noon yesterday, 9000 more at 11:59pm last night, nothing for 24 hours, then 200,000 a day (starting tomorrow) until complete.
I havent received it either but im still on the fence anyway. I didn't root my phone yet. I have the file but forgot what to rename it. Im a very new to all this.
Just follow this:
No update yet for me, either. I was going to do it manually, but I'd rather get the "OTA Experience."
Nothing here either. Knowing that there are over a million units out there, I don't expect to get mine until Sunday.....Here comes Peter Cottontail!
+1 and to add insult to injury, this morning my Droid, fresh from spending the night on the charger, decided to play the "I'm out of battery charge" game, little red warning light and all . . .
I didn't receive mine either.
I'm just gonna wait till they send me the update.
SO HURRY UP !!!!!
Still no OTA for me.
Where are y'all getting this info from? According to Phases stickied thread,the roll out will occur over the next few weeks
Verizon begins Android 2.1 update rollout for Motorola Droid -- Engadget

notification at 11:59 PM. This schedule will continue each
day thereafter until the update has been delivered to all users.
the sky is falling
I did not get it either
OMG.. can my day continue, can I get out of bed, will life go on
We got that info directly from verizon. As for an exact address with the info, that i don't have.
I have not got mine either in Indiana. I have all the manual stuff downloaded on my computer but I will wait for OTA just in case of a change. I do not mind not being crash test dummy. My phone runs fine now so I can hang in there another day or two. I was behind on the last roll out too. I am just very happy it is REALLY happening this time. Been waiting since January.
I've been wondering about this since the 2.0.1 update. It seems to me that the time between the second round (of 9000) and the third round (of 200,000) is 48 hours and not 24. If the second round happened at 11:59PM EST on 3/30, and the next round of 200,000 happens at 11:59PM EST on 4/1, is that not 48 hours?
11:59PM 3/30 -> 3/31 = 24 hours
3/31 -> 11:59PM 4/1 = 24 hours
Is there a part of the equation I'm missing?
Still nadda :-(
No update here but the day is only half over...
Seriously, y'all need to chill. With some of the unconfirmed issues that people are having with apps not jiving with the update, I'm okay for now and not dealing with those issues. I'd rather see the devs use the first 10,000 guinea pigs to update their junk (which a lot of my apps have done already). OTA can roll out whenever. If you're so anxious, pick up the update.zip. If you don't want to do that, chill and quit the whining. No matter what, people will find any reason to complain. First, no update, now, updates too slow, what's next?
Updatezzz screwed up my phone!!!
They are going to do 200K a day starting at midnight tonight just like they did with the 2.01 update. The manual update on here for 2.1 is the exact same thing that you will be receiving OTA, there will be no change. The file on here is from one of the first 10,000 OTA updates that went out during the testing Wednesday morning at 12am.
Tonight at 12AM, they will send out 200,000 OTA updates, next night at 12AM 200,000 more. This will continue until everyone has it. That's how they do it to constrain bandwidth/control support calls.
If you're eager to get it, just do it manually, it works like a charm.
Not sure if anyone is doing the math, but I think vzw has sold like 2M of these, so at 200k/day, that's 10 days till everyone gets theirs. This won't be complete until the end of next week.
Verizon never said it would be done Friday, only someone here. That roll-out schedule is the one Verizon published.
