after a while a ton of new tabs are open, and you know, I don't even have this problem on my PC, I don't know why so many links open in new tabs on the android browser, but I just want one tab unless I specifically press and hold to open in new tab.

    any way to do this?

Why just not use a different browser?

What device do you have? I can't find any settings like that in the Samsung stock browser, but a different manufacturer may have hidden them away somewhere in theirs

While on Internet on my LG Motion

Settings -Advanced- Adjust Javascript and other Web Content Settings-

Open New Tabs behind Current Tabs- if set to ON this will AUTOMATICALLY open new tabs.

You want this OFF or not enabled-then you need to open New Tab manually when you want one.

If you call Tech Support for your device ir post the device name- domeone may help you locate this menu function for your phone .
