Please help! I have a i5700R (Samsung Galaxy Spica) from Rogers in Canada. I need to claim warranty so I need to unroot it. I've managed to flash my phone to the original Rogers Canada 2.1 Eclair Software so I have:
Baseband Version: I5700UXJG9
Kernel Version: 2.6.29 root@sep-57 #2
Build Number: ECLAIR.UXJG9
My problem is the kernel, which is blatantly obvious that I have broken warranty. What I need help with right now is?:
a) someone to direct me to where I need to go for the appropriate kernel?
b) and to tell me if changing the kernel hide the fact that it was rooted?
P.S. I used I5700UXJG9 from http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i5700.htm with the NEWER SPICA .OPS file located on the same page. Ran it through ODIN with the downloaded firmware in one unpackaged unit.
