So, I've done my best to search online, and can't find anything about this issue:
I have an HTC One (not sure if relevant) running Android 2.2.
Baseband version 2.15.00.07.28
Kernel version 2.6.35.14-gingertiny-v2+drew@tinster #18
What is happening is that the viewfinder (what I see on the screen when taking a picture) is permanently black and white. If I set the screen effect to Negative, Solarize, or Posterize, the viewfinder shaes shift (but remain black and white).
The pictures taken come out in full color, but I cannot figure out how to actually see them pre-capture in color. When I purchased the phone, it worked.
I have tried resetting the camera settings to default (no help).
I have tried resetting the entire phone to factory defaults (still no change).
Even if I am stuck with this, can someone advice me what happened, or why my phone won't display a color viewfinder any more?
