Help Streaming video from Mac or PC to Droid X

Is there a way to stream my xvid and avi collection on my Mac or PC to my new Droid X. I know the Iphone has Airplayer...but it doesn't look like Android has something comparable...am I wrong? I heard of Orb, but don't you need to have a TV tuner to use that. Someone also mention streaming from your dropbox, but I don't know how that would work. Is there something for Android that makes this possible?
