Help switching back to in call once you leave?

If I am on a call and leave the dialer area to search for something, is there a way to get back to the phone menu that offers mute/end call/speaker an so on? I hit dialer to get back but it just shows the dialer and none of those options. I have to wait for the other person to hang up first to even end the call.

So far this is happens to me with dialer one,stock dialer and takephone.

If I am not mistaken, you can pull down the notification bar and there is an option to get back to the original phone screen.

Pull down your notification bar and you will see your current call. Tap on it and your back to the dialer.

That works! I just had to hit the notification from home screen and choose current call!

Its also cool that the notification bar blinks green!
