so im switching from iphone 32gb 3gs on tmobile

i want to get a nexus phone
i refuse to get something that isnt a 'real google experience phone'

i read about these of a nexus s/nexus 2 coming soon

i was literally about to buy a nexus one off craigslist yesterday but i held off...

i know its been 'delayed' but...with how things are looking new phones are to come out next year...?

what is coming? will the nexus 2 be coming within the next 6 months-ish?
should i just go and get the n1 anyways?
don't want to wait too long...getting tired of edge on iphone w/tmob

Not sure what you mean by that, but every Android phone is indeed a Google phone.

And FYI, there will always be a newer, better phone coming out. If you wait until the nexus 2 comes out, there will be a better phone coming out months after that. Your best bet is to get the phone you want.

I think he is talking about skins such as Touchwiz and Sense. If you want the true Android experience then the N1 is the way to go. If can hold off for a while longer I would look to get a Tergra 2 phone. We should hopefully see them in Q1 of 2011. If you can't hold off until then I would at least see what Samsung is suppose to say at it's event today.

On T-Mobile I'd go with the G2 or the Vibrant depending on whether or not you wanted a keyboard. The real Google experience is that you can do any thing you damn well please with the phone. Don't like the mfg. UI? Root and flash. Decide you want it back? Hard Reset. Honestly, vanilla Android is like a new house with contractor white walls. You'll want to paint and hang some pictures ASAP to make it uniquely yours.

yeah i went to all the carriers store and looked at the phones
i really prefer stock android. and for some reason the g2 touchscreen just doesnt feel very responsive to me(maybe its just me)

q1 2011 isnt too long ill just wait(its just a few months away)

money is kindve tight(but not too tight) because i'm a college student
i want to make sure my purchase is absolutely worth it

....unless i can find someone who is willing to trade straight up for my jailbroken/unlocked 4.0.1 iphone 32gb 3gs
then it wont matter cause i wont be spending money

Just, wanted to say I completely agree. Google phone is any phone that runs on the android system so take your pick and you will be happy

Um, you wouldn't like mine, then. The AT&T version won't get 3G on T-Mobile's network. You could always just register as a developer ... developers can still buy the N1.

I hear they are working on an Android with a positronic processor, but are having trouble with the contractions.

why not get a phone that can be rooted (D Incredible)? Then you can just flash the AOSP ROM and be happy. Plus, it is a much better phone (IMHO) (no multi touch bugs, optical pad instead of ball...only down is no noise cancelling mic).

Welcome to the Fellowship of the Android, where we fight the forces of the evil I of Sauron. I'm sure almost any of the top tier Android phones will meet your needs. Good luck with your purchase.

We have absolutely no idea when the N2 will come out. Waiting for it will be like waiting for the world to end. At least we have multiple theories on when the world will end, we don't have any theories about when the N2 will come out.
