    I'm really having a hard time figuring out Swype's Android business strategy. Bent on a long beta even thought the product has been rock solid almost from the start. Their hype is sending users to the competition and piracy, which is all money that should be in their pockets. Put it in the market already, price it reasonably and it will be a huge hit.

    Usually their stock line seems to be that they want to deliver the 'best possible experience' by only distributing it via the OEMs. All I know is, if I had this many people willing to pay me, I wouldn't keep them waiting :p

    The fact they even had a beta is a good sign though :) They wouldn't have done that unless there were plans to release to the market.

    Aren't they under some kind of contract?...and once that is up it will be in market

    By going oem they guarantee themselves a royalty for every single handset as opposed to individual sales. They're going for the money grab and I don't blame them.
