Syncing calendar events on phone to my corporate (outlook) emailGeneral

I posted this on the Android Apps forum but thought that perhaps it is a Razr/Razr Maxx issue....

I just switched from BB to a Razr Maxx on Verizon and am learning how to use it - so far so good. One issue I am having, however, is trying to sync my Phone calendar with my Outlook calendar. My Firm uses an Enterprise version of Outlook (Exchange?) and when I add an appointment to my Outlook calendar on my PC, they show up on my Razr Maxx phone calendar, but when I add an appointment to my Razr Maxx phone calendar, it does not show up on my Outlook calendar (it did on My BB). Any ideas? My phone calendar is listed as "not synced, visible" but I see no way of changing to be "synced, visible".....

I see there are people posting about doing this when using Gmail accounts and the like, but I don't use Gmail on a regular basis, and never for my work.

Exchange synching works very well with the stock Razr Maxx, and if you really want to get elaborate, there's an app called "Touchdown" that does it even more fully.

I'm currently evaluating Touchdown, so I can only answer you from memory. When you create an appointment in the Maxx Calendar, one of the fields asks which calendar you want to put it on (Google Calendar or Exchange). Make sure you set this field to Exchange, and it should work fine.

You can make Exchange the default choice, so you shouldn't have to do this more than once. In my experience, the only problem with appointments is that the Maxx doesn't do well with editting instances of recurring appointments. Everything else worked very well.

Excellent, thank you for that information. It is essentially as you say - when I create an appointment it automatically does it on the phone calendar, but there is a drop down menu that allows me to select Google or my work account (it's tied to my work email address). When I create an event on the phone and select my work account, it indeed shows up on both. Still trying to figure out how to get it to default to that, but with a little playing I should be able to find it.

Found it - quite simple. Go to "settings" when in the calendar.

OWA Android App (QOWA) Quick Outlook Web Access
Hi all - My organization locked down our outlook email so I tried every OWA Android app out there and none worked for me. They all required something open on the server end such as exchange web services or WebDav. There was no way to get my android to work with my email except the browser, but the logout was every minute, requiring a retype of my username/password. If you ever used OWA you know what I'm talking about.

This QOWA is still using the native web interface so it should work with ALL OWA email addresses. This works very friendly with the touch environment.

Here is the link to the QOWA app in the marketplace. This works for Microsoft Outlook exchange 2003, 2007, and 2010.
