Help System Update Issue

Hey forums

I keep hearing every Moto droid 2 user being able to go to about phone then system updates, and seeing the new 2.2.20 update. When I try this I keep getting the following error when it checks for any new updates: "Check for updates was not available at this time. Please try again later". It keeps saying this over many tries, wonder whats up?

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Check that Background Data is enabled and that you don't have MOTO Apps to only sync on Wifi turned on. Then run it again.

The issue I have with this is that every time it tells me about this update for 2.2.20 it reboots, tries to install, then comes back with "update failed". I've tried a few times each day since I picked up the phone, thinking it was a glitch. Now I'm starting to think it's more than that.

no, it tried every 12 hours each day. I just ended up taking it to the Verizon store for them to push over cable. No clue why it was happening... just hope it's not a "sign"
