Root [T-Mobile] Anyone Know Where To Find HTC One M7 RUU for TMob?

ok,its uploading now... its my personal dropbox,so ill pm you the link until i can figure out why i cant upload to androidfilehost  its got a ways to go,tho...

when its done, youll put into your adb/fastboot directory, dont unzip.

-put phone in fastboot,open cmd,etc.
-flash with the following:
fastboot erase cache

fastboot oem rebootRUU

fastboot flash zip 1.29.1540.3miniruu.zip (assuming you dont change the name)

when it finishes,

fastboot reboot bootloader

fastboot reboot

assuming it works, your phone should boot into the developer edition software(with all your stock firmware,of course... this is just boot and system). should even allready be rooted. :)

should look something like this(ignore the filename is different):

Code:
c:\miniadb_m7>[COLOR="Red"]fastboot erase cache[/COLOR]

Even if this doesn't work I just want you to know how grateful I am for your time, you've gone above and beyond anything I ever expected.

Thanks as well for the detailed instructions above, just one question: When you say it should boot into developer edition software, what does that mean, is it the developer edition of the stock rom itself?

Again, thanks, i really appreciate your patience and time.

You are quite welcome. Only thing in question, really,is wether or not I modified the android info txt document so that your s on phone will accept the file.

What I meant was that when the phone reboot,it won't be into stock t mobile software. It will be into stock(but rooted) developer edition software, build # 1.29.1540.3. It's nothing you'll have to do,just the software the phone will be running. (That's what i was running when i dumped the images)

Once it works again,we can work on changing it to something else :)

No worries Scotty, wasn't sure what time zone you were on. Downloading now, says it's going to take an hour.

As soon as it's here I will give it a shot. It feels like christmas! ha ha

Scooty, got an error, see below, but everything was looking good, I'm assuming 'remote not allowed' could be the txt file you were referring to. EDIT: Tried another three times, same error each time.

Yes, still unlocked. Not sure it booted into ruu mode, it rebooted back into bootloader after step 2 (fastboot oem rebootRUU) and then I continued to flash.

ahhh. well, that explains the 'failed...' error. thats typical when trying to flash a zip in regular fastboot. some older bootloaders on some devices did allow that, but not all. although i am not sure why it rebooted to fastboot, instead of to ruu mode.

try entering twrp, then holding power until the phone tties to reboot and does a hard reset. give it a few minutes, then do that again, start holding vol down when it powers off to reboot,to get yourself back to hboot. select fastboot again, and try that process over. well need to get the phone into ruu mode somehow for the zip to flash.

when the phone boots to a black screen, with silver htc in the middle, thats ruu mode :)

Just did that and it's the same, boots into recovery. Would it be worth flashing cwm to try this? Will fastboot work in cwm memory?

at what point does it boot to recovery? what happens if you hold power and do a hard reset from recovery?

out of curiousity, were you using htc dumlock? if so,have you tried flashing a new boot image?

fastboot commands wont work in recovery,or in the booted OS. only with the phone in fastboot mode.(and ruu mode)

It boots into recovery automatically after step 2. (fastboot oem rebootRUU) Not using dumlock but I have just restored original boot image and installed htc dumlock thru twrp. What do I have to do now to use dumlock?

EDIT: One more thing that I'm not sure the relevance of: The forst thing I did before I flashed the rom originally was to make a back up in twrp, that back up being stock rooted of my device. When I go to file manager in twrp i can see that file but when i hit restore it's not there. I also have that back up saved on my computer (the whole twrp file). Is that relevant or not?

i would advise not messing with it. if you had used it before,i thot maybe you had recovery installed in the boot partition(thats basically what dumblock does) thus preventing normal reboots.if you have an original boot image, you could try and flash it with fastboot

fastboot flash boot boot.img

i am not quite sure what to think about whats going on here. oem rebootRUU definately NOT take you to twrp recovery

What you say there makes perfect sense. Did twrp somehow get flashed to the wrong partition?

Not sure I have the boot img, I have 6 files in the twrp folder on my computer: boot.emmc.win - boot.emmc.win.md5 - data.ext4.win - data.ext4.win.md5 - system.ext4.win - system.ext4.win.md5

EDIT: Just flashed stock kernal, booted straight back into recovery (after htc quietly brilliant splash screen for 20 seconds)

The other weird thing is, don't forget we got to 30% on two zips containing aroma, so the phone is seeing the zips and is willing to them. There's a tutorial on trickdroid.org that explains how to remove aroma. I'm going to do that again and push it to the phone via adb. If that doesnt work i'll probably just call it a day.

its possible twrp got to the wrong partition somehow, but that doesnt explain why its still there after you flash the stock boot image,or why you are unable to change recoveries in the recovery partition.

nor does it explain why a command that should put the phone into ruu mode takes you to recovery!

there is definatley something kooky going on. have you,per chance, tried any of this from a different PC? if youre using windows 8 or usb 3.0,or even just a bad usb port or cable, lots of wierd things can happen, not to mention some obscure spyware or firewall setting thats interfering with the phone connection.

it sounds crazy but quite a few times ive seen folks unable to do a particular task in adb o fastboot that looked 100% correct, but failed every time, and all of a sudden have success when they borrow or dig out an old laptop

given everything weve done,im starting to think more and more that either:
1)there is something very wrong with the phone
or
2)what i just mentioned above- some PC variable is for some reason messing hardcore with your attempts to manipulate the phone

as loyal pointed out,hes been in your situation a few times, and been able to recovery without all this nonsense ;)

i actually have not flashed any roms on my m7 yet, only run ruus(wich wipe internal storage,FYI.. unlike other nonremovable sd devices  ) so i havent experienced the aroma instability or any hangs/bootloops.

if your attempt to remove aroma fails, only thing really sticking with me,is try a different pc,usb cable, etc. and retry all the stuff youve just done. if you can get into ruu mode, you should hopefully be able to flash the miniruu zip.

if you have a usb 'OTG' cable, you can try renaming the miniruu to PN07IMG and flashing it from HBOOT via an external sd. that kind of thing worked with the one x,but i havent tried it here yet.
