Take picture without preview screen?

Does any app allow me to take pictures with the EVO by using hardware buttons as shutter while keeping the screen turned off?

CallCam Pro (there's a "Lite" version, but the Pro works much better). It makes folks think you're on a phone call (even with a "Call" screen, if you want) but takes a series of pictures surrepetitiously

I setup a task in Tasker to do this (minus the fake call screen). I tap a widget on the home screen and it takes a series of pictures for one minute while remaining on the home screen, or displaying whatever app I use after tapping the widget. It works well. If only I could stop that click-click-click of the Droid's auto focus.
