Brought Tasker, just need a little assistance, not sure if I'm on the right track! Lol.

Overview of what I want to do

What I want to do is on weekdays from 6pm to 7am I want to enable WiFi connection, and at 7:05am switch to Aeroplane mode for 5 minutes and then switch off Aeroplane mode (for some reason the I get stuck between WiFi and 3G and can use neither if I don't switch to Aeroplane mode first), this will happen Monday to Friday.

    So basically..

    1. Switch WiFi ON @ 6pm.
    2. Switch WiFi OFF @ 7am.
    3. Switch AP mode ON @ 7:05am.
    4. Switch AP mode OFF @ 7:10am.

    What I've done so far..

    1. Created a task called ['WiFi ON'] :: WiFi Set On
    2. Created a task called ['WiFi OFF'] :: Airplane Mode Set ON Wait 5 minutes Airplane Mode OFF.
    3. Went to Time Menu, pressed New, did ['18:00 WiFi ON'] and ['07:00'] WiFi OFF.
    5. On the 'Calendar' did ['Days of week'] selected Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri and called the WiFi ON profile and WiFi OFF profile.

Does that sound right to those who are using Tasker?

I'm not sure what the problem is with getting stuck between Wifi and 3G, as you say, but I will ignore that for now and focus on what you're trying to do in Tasker.

One thing that needs to be clarified is that a time period from 6pm to 7am spans multiple days. Since you said you only want to do this on weekdays, does that mean you want it to stop doing it at 12:01am Saturday? I'm not trying to be nit-picky, but it does affect how you setup the profile(s) in Tasker. I think what you want is something like this:

    Profile: [Wifi On/Off]
Context: Day of Week Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri
    Context: Time 7:00am - 6:00pm
    Enter Task: Wifi Off
    Exit Task: Wifi On

    Profile: [Airplane Mode On/Off]
Context: Day of Week Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri
    Context: Time 7:05am - 7:10am
    Enter Task: Airplane Mode On
    Exit Task: Airplane Mode Off

What will happen is at 7:00am on weekdays, Wifi will be turned off. At 7:05am on weekdays, airplane mode will be turned on. At 7:10am on weekdays, airplane mode will be turned off. At 6:00pm on weekdays, Wifi will be turned on. This will leave Wifi on from 6:00pm Friday through 7:00am Monday.

In case you're wondering, once you've created a profile with an Enter Task, you can touch the Enter Task on the profiles list and select "Add Exit Task".

For now you want to avoid using the Wait command with a time long enough for your device to go to sleep, because once the device goes to sleep the wait timer stops processing. Changing/fixing that is on the developer's todo list.

I hope this helps, but if I misunderstood what you're looking for, let me know.

I don't think you'll get what you're looking for that way because the 18:00 - 7:00 time period spans days, and when 00:00 Saturday rolls around, the first profile will go inactive because it's no longer Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu or Fri.

If I understand correctly, you want Wifi on all the time, except 07:00 - 18:00 Mon - Fri. If that's the case, you'll need to change the start and end times to be From 07:00 Till 18:00, and turn Wifi Off in the Enter Task, and turn Wifi On in the Exit Task.

You don't actually have to specifically turn Wifi On in the Exit Task, since Tasker will turn it back on if it was on at the start of the profile time period, but there's no harm in doing so if you always want it on when the profile exits.

Ahh... I think you said exactly what you wanted, and I twisted it into something else. As long as you think you've got it, I'll leave it at that, as I'm afraid anything I add will unnecessarily complicate things.

If you run into any trouble, don't hesitate to ask.
