I have my Desire on the Telus network, and I noticed that the icon on the top bar shows and "H" instead of 3G.
Is 3G the same has HSPA? I know Telus runs the HSPA+ network but I'm just wondering if there is something wrong with my settings or device.

I believe that HSPA is faster than 3G. I think the hierarchy of data protocols that the Desire supports, in order of speed (slowest to fastest), is:

    GPRS
    Edge
    3G
    HSPA

These are shown as G, E, 3G, and H respectively on the Desire's status bar.
