tether/pdanet help?

I'm new to this android thing. I have the motorola cliq. Just got it inplace of nokia nuron which tethered in one click. I've done the steps from junefabrics and the android journal guy. Have it both on my pc and phone. Checked debugging option. Enable tethering usb...etc etc. When I go to click ,,connect,, on my pc, it says make sure it's connected....and it really really honestly is. I can access photos on my phone from my pc....just pdanet says it,s not connected.... I don't know what else to try?

Ops, sorry. It was my pc being typical winblows. It works now x.x
