On the droid, you can use the d-pad.. on the incredible, you can use the optical sensor.. is there a way just to move over one character space in Android with software?

Is this a new feature? I don't have this on my Incredible.. (or don't know how to enable it anyway). Thanks.

It's a feature specifically for the EVO 4G as HTC ditched hardware directional navigation completely for touch.

also of note: in the videos from may 12th the directional buttons are much less ugly and fit in better with the rest of the keyboard. :)
