Help text problems

Hi,

I've had my desire HD for almost a year now and it's a nice phone. I went to a funeral Friday and removed the battery to make sure it didnt go off.

Put the battery in and it was working, I started sending some text's but now my texts don't show on the chat dialogue. it shows the ones that have been sent before but now they dont show up at all.

I've looked through all the settings but nothing that I can find fixes the problem, Show sent message history is ticked.

If anyone knows what settings you use to turn these back on please let me know
