what are these clouds that float by on my screen every time I turn on the Droid? Did I miss something somewhere, is it a android thing or my weather program? How can I turn it off?

Weather and Toggle widgets does the same thing. Quite annoying because you can't touch anything on the screen until the animation finishes.

    bingo..

I like it personally. what I do not like is that now it happens in every app. So, if you left your Droid on the calendar, and turn the Droid back on, ever in calendar there are the clouds. I emailed them and they said they know of this bug. the cloud effect (and rain) should only happen when in the app or on the home screen.

BTW, that effect will also jack your CPU temp up, watch it.

The idea comes from HTC Sense. I had an eris and it works great. The clouds ONLY appear on the home screen, but the moment you flick to another screen they disappear.
Hopefully they can get it to work that way. It's a very cool feature when it works right

so, I have this issue and have not been able to locate what is causing the clouds. I don't have beautiful widgets installed. I'm running rooted cyanogen and for the life of me, I can't find the source of my clouds... any other ideas?

the app that was causing the problem for me was "Weather Widget Forecast Addon" and there's a setting in that for adding cloud animations.
