The wife and I took the kids to a park this afternoon and my in-laws were able to watch a live QIK stream. On our way back home, my oldest son (6) connected the iPad to my EVO's Hotspot and streamed his favorite cartoons via the netflix app!

I can't wait to read about the experiences you guys will have this Friday! The EVO is amazing...

    Testing Sprint's EVO 4G in 4G Country--Day One - Yahoo! News

This review recently states that in numerous 4g spots, the reviewer had 10-20sec delay when using the Qik application. Did you see similar results?

I just sent them a link to my QIK address.

I cannot verify the delay as it wasn't two way. When I streamed to my QIK address with my 3GS there was a 20 sec delay.

lol so based on the posts in this thread, the majority of the evo users will probably be guys haha

Oh i can't wait to start using video chat. I wish that they had an oovoo app but i do use skype and i guess i will have to check out qik/fring.

I do video blogging and videos for youtube so this phone is going to do wonders. Gone are the days i have to carry around my mac for webcamming, i can just use my Evo lol :)
    YAY! haha

Do you have a Wii, if so can you test it for Wi-Fi connection to the Evo. The Wii is picky about its router type and will not connect to my Rooted Wi-fi tether Hero.

qik streaming has 10-20 second delay on the website for both sound and audio....video conferencing has zero to 1 second delay.
