I actually like it. It gives the phone good balance i think and when i'm talking on it my finger automatically rests on it while holding it against my dome.

That, and when using it in landscape mode, it fits in the hand very nicely!

I don't even notice it when I'm using it. It doesn't get in my way at all.

Agreed, aesthetically it ruins the sleek look, but the functionality is definitely there.

I think a lot of casual users may have been put off by the hump and decided not to purchase an X simply because of it. But in reality, I don't think it looks that bad. Maybe the photos just exaggerate it.

Reminds me of a TV controller. If TV manufacturers use it, why reinvent the wheel.

But how would you calibrate if you can't tell what surface is truly flat without the level app in the first place

Haven't gotten mine yet (delivery on Monday) but played with my Wife's some and never even noticed it was there. She has the body glove case and removed the belt clip from it and I really like that case. Not too bulky and feels secure and sturdy. Not sure if it really does but it seems to kind of tone down "the hump".

I like it. If there was no hump and as thin as the rest of the device, I think it would be very hard to hold.

Its kinda like a little 'grab' point for when in landscape.

    I like it.

If i had the choice of hump or no hump, I would keep the hump. As said previously it seems to help with grip.

I like that you can tell if it's right side up by the feel.
