I believe that's one of our own member's interpretation of the phone. It looks nice, but I believe that mic is black against the black housing. I'd like the red mic, personally.
I actually think it might look better if the circle around the optic were red over silver to match the top (the small red accents have grown on me). Either way it's going to be a damn good looking phone.
Yep...that battery door is just plain ugly! My wife has an Eris and I was hoping the Incredible would be a slightly larger and more powerful version of it...I think the Eris is pretty sexy. They had to go and mess with a good thing.
I actually like the incredible back door it is different and gives the phone its own personal flare. Cant wait for the phone to be released and to get my hands on one.
I hate that contoured back cover. I agree the Eris is a very nice looking phone. I wish there was an Eris 2 with a snapdragon processor and 2.1. I guess I won't really look at the back of the phone much... but still.. WHY make it ugly?
Most of you people who are complaining about the back will be able to fix it. They will be making extended batteries for it within weeks and I'm sure there will be flat backs for the extended battery, if not available for the standard battery.
Not sure I'm a fan of the back cover yet (from what I can see in the pics). Although, one positive could be that there is room toward the base of the phone (where it is indented) to hold with your finger and thumb pretty easily. Sort of like the Droid.
Actually, Red Leader, this is the same styling which was found in the ROM which made its way through the official thread ~75 pages back. I also asked NKT if this was consistent with what he saw in the device testers' possession, and he said "yes" to the silver ring.
Sorry, I haven't seen it anywhere but do we know if the screen is going to be glass like the Moto Droid or plastic like the rest of the HTC Devices like the TP2

Apparently, it will have similar screen material to the other HTC products, primarily like that of the the Nexus One. Only the Motorola products use Corning's "Gorilla Glass" (i.e. the Droid).
