The Poisoned Apple segment

You may or may not have seen my other posts or rants about not getting my S3 today, but I am noticing a serious trend in the land of fruit.

You see, I'm a bit of a perveyer of tech sites and like to read a lot of them. Tonight I started with Androidcentral, a quick gander at AppleInsider, then CNET, followed by here and then lastly... The macrumors forum. Most of the time you feel like you need to wash after leaving there from the pure amount of bullsh#t they barf amoungst themselves. 99% of what they describe about Android is wrong, which doesn't help. They also now utilize a plus or minus for eachpost, where other users grade your post. Well, of course any post that sheds a positve light on Android gets negative votes. Stupid if you ask me, but it should be expected, i suppose.

And now that most iLovers realize how far behind the iPhone 5 is compared to the S3, they are retreating to the fetal position and throwing out anything they believe makes the iPhone better. This involves the amount of items in app store, screen ppi, followed by some smattering of b.s. regarding viruses and malware on Android and a crappy app store. Something like that.

It is getting pretty bad on that board. I feel sorry for the Apple apologists, who just accept a crap product because it is made in Cupertino. They've been brainwashed, they really have. And I am seeing this same stuff with microsoft fans. Apologists for M$ for screwing over every single Lumia 900 owner.

Even though I own several Apple TV's, a couple of iPad 2's, a 27" iMac, a 13" MBP and an iP4, I only buy the best tech and right now Samsung is tops in phones. The iphone is gone and i will be hard pressed to get another until they start innvating again. I believe it is possble with Jon Ivey.

And after seeing iOS6, it is clear the iPhone is heading downward. Without stevejobs there to whip the workers, it's getting slack.

If you want to see people who are really delusional then go over to the Windows forums. I have been spending some time there looking to see the reactions regarding the Surface and W8 announcements and I concur with your post, the information is just plain BS.

In certain aspects the iPhone is going downhill (ditching google maps is one), but I see most of it as a slow down in the tech race. They are no longer pushing the envelope with development, they are playing catch up. It's an interesting time to be following the mobile phone race.

IPhone 5 hasn't even been announced yet. Not sure how you can say it's falling behind when it's a non-existent product.

What bothers me is how a lot of blogs and the media in general are so pro-Apple and down on anything that isn't Apple. I'm not saying Apple makes a bad product; it's the fact how everyone seems to gush over Apple as being "innovative" and a "game-changer" and "Apple is at it again" for introducing something that I've had on my Android-powered devices since my Droid Eris: turn-by-turn navigation. If Android or Microsoft introduced that, they would be lambasted in the media as "late to the party" or "playing catch-up" or "copycats". But Apple does that and everyone stands up and applauds them as if they just introduced time travel.

Someone else had pointed that out and it got me thinking about it. They've got to be doing something right as they've sold lots and lots of i-devices but the rabid following of Apple by the media puzzles me.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Jobs vowed to destroy Android, Apple has tons of cash, and what better way to destroy the competition than by using the media? Yeah, I'm calling payolla. Apple pays those guys to hype up iOS and talk bad about Android, it's a huge propaganda machine.

And this is why I hate Apple. And it seems that ever since Steve Jobs died Apple has been suing everyone left and right.

Apple does have its fanboys - but with all the financial sites drooling over Apple stock -
that's also fanning the fire. I haven't seen too many reports on Google, Amazon, Microsoft.

Well the 4S came out 8 months ago and the S3 is a brand new release so it's still a silly comparison.

Just remember people, if anyone else comes out with it, it's a gimmick......!

If Apple comes out with it......it's innovative, fresh and cutting edge technology!!

It's just the way society is playing it at the moment.

Ride the storm guys...Apple will do what they do best and destroy themselves through their own lockdown policy as they have countless times before....Just sit back and enjoy the show :)

And yet, the dedicated iLovers are still claiming the 4s is better than the S3.

In no way is the 4s better, other than fitting within the Apple ecosystem better, which is to be expected.

This S3 is smoking fast, with so many more capabilities and much better hardware, it's not even a close comparison. I doubt the iP5 will be able to match it.
