Root The sticky: ^^^ the guide to rooting has bad links.

So I am not comfortable enough to root without solid links that don't lead to dead ends.

So maybe there is a fix to this?

The information in The Guide is still valid. The links are probably broken because no one really roots from 2.0.1 any more.

The links there are the files you need to root from 2.1 and I'm pretty sure they all still work just fine.

Look at the updated information in the last post of that sticky. TheUnlockr has added some information and videos on how to root from both 2.0.1 and 2.1. I have not verified all the information personally, but that site has provided accurate and helpful information in the past and is a very reputable site.

Point taken...I added another "update" in the first post that may help people to look further down the thread. Hopefully people will find it easier now.
