so at the moment i am torn between the galaxy tab 2 7.0 and the nexus 7. the nexus 7 is shining to me in power and price, but the tab 2 7.0 has a micro SD card slot and more importantly (for me) you can get an adaptor to plug it into an HDMI port, meaning i would be able to hook it up to a projector and do presentations.

but i also like to game, so how well does this cope with some of the more intensive games like galaxy on fire 2, and can it play THD version of games.

or overall how well is it for games (and i mean stuff like modern combat 3, not angry birds!)

As a gaming device, the Nexus 7 will outshine the Galaxy Tab, mainly because of not only more powerful hardware, but it uses Tegra. Many of the higher end games are optimized for the Tegra chipset.
