    Hi,

I am a new android user and need some help!

I keep getting a 'this tag is not supported' message whenever I unlock my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It is also accompanied with a really irritating beep sound!

Can anyone help me stop this message (and delightful sound!!)??

    Many Thanks

You don't have a NFC tag nearby or stored in the case do you?
Try turning off NFC and see if it goes away.
    Good Luck!

How do I stop the message from coming up if I have to have NFC on for Galaxy Gear Watch?

Pops up all the time, blocking my keyboard when I'm trying to type anything.

Is there anything nearby that may be triggering it? Does it always happen at the same places? Something must either be triggering it or the sensor for NFC is "wacky".

ANSWER: you have an NFC or chip enabled card within or attached to your phone or case.

I too was getting this message. Then something occurred to me. My tap pass for the LA trains and busses was stored in my case. I removed the card, unlocked my phone and there was NO MORE MESSAGE.

So, any card, to include but not limited to any Visa, Mastercard, Discover CaRd, American Express, transportation fare cards, gift cards etc., will cause this issue when in close proximity to a "contactless" device.

    Hope this helps.
