Time glitch?

About 8:30 local time this morning (28 Oct 2012) I happened to look at my phone (LG Optimus U - US Cellular) and it said the time was 7:30. I know DST ends next weekend so I pulled the battery and restarted the phone and the time showed up correctly. The problem is that now most (not all - I think) of my appointments in Google Calendar are showing up as one hour later than I put them in for. Is anybody else aware of this problem and any possible fixes? I use the calendar to schedule all of my business and personal appointments and this is disappointing as it's why I switched from Blackberry to Android.
