TIP: For those missing ringtones with 2.2

I could no longer reference mine after the update, but found a fix.
I had the ringtones stored in /sdcard/audio/ringtones/ and everything worked fine for 2.1.
I moved them to /sdcard/system/audio/ringtones/ with Froyo and now I can refer to them again.
Maybe I can save someone else some trouble.

I keep having my ring tones (individual settings) revert to the default from what I personalized them from.

try using the file structure that the OP suggested, if that doesn't work try starting a thread in the support section

The listed file structure worked for me with an old R2 wav file I wanted to use as a notification. I just changed the path to: /sdcard/audio/notifications/
