How big of a discount is this? Was planning on just putting my wife's name on the phone (to get a student discount), but if this one is better...

It brings the 1500 minute Everything Data Family Plan from $129.99 to $109.99 and bumps up the minutes to 1600. If only this thread came up when the EVO was released...

Thanks, rilharri. This is great. Do you know if Sprint would accept an employee discount on top of the referral discount?

    Thanks, again.

Wow I just Googled the employee's email and the info has been around since 2008. Gives me hope it'll still be around when I get my EVO!

Do you have to purchase the phone through that site to get the discount on the plan? I don't see a place to sign up for existing customers. I am asking because I am on month to month with Verizon and I desperately need a new phone... just waiting for the EVO to come out to make my move.

I don't know why people feel bad for this guy, he himself posted this information, and it's absolutely legit, it's simply a referral program.

I used to be in Everything Plus but I realized it would be a bit cheaper when I got a job that offered a discount, so just make sure to check what works best for you beforehand.

    Everything Plus Referral Program

You've been invited by a Sprint employee to purchase Sprint service at discounted pricing through this private shopping experience.

    How Everything Plus Works

Due to the deep discounts Sprint offers through our employees, the following Everything Plus program policies apply:

During checkout, you will need to provide a valid Sprint employee e-mail address and the last three digits of the employee ID (CID) for the Sprint employee who referred you to the Everything Plus Referral Program.

Standard consumer credit check and two year contract terms apply.
Everything Plus is an exclusive offer through www.sprint.com/everythingplus or by calling 1-888-882-4030 - Everything Plus is not available through Sprint Retail stores or other sales channels.
Available to new Sprint customers or existing Sprint customers adding a new line of service (not available for migration from an existing line of service).
Everything Plus customers can upgrade their device through any Sprint-owned Retail Store, Telesales (888-822-4030), or sprint.com.

Adding to an Existing Sprint Account

The Everything Plus plans are only available to current Sprint customers that are activating a new line of service. Please note that due to the service plan discounts involved, Sprint can add your new Everything Plus device only to an existing Everything Plus or a former Sprint SERO program account. If you have an Everything Plus or SERO account, simply proceed through the online shopping site, select the "Add order to existing account" tab during checkout, and enter your current Everything Plus/SERO account details.

If your current Sprint account is not part of the Everything Plus or former SERO program, we will create a new Everything Plus account for this new line of service. Please select the "Create a new account" tab during the check out process. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope you will appreciate the deep monthly discounts this allows us to provide to you.

    Family Plans

Purchasing New Service with a Family Plan:

You may sign up for one of the new Sprint Everything Plus Family Plans online by purchasing two or more devices with new lines of service. As you proceed through the shopping path, you will be prompted to select the number of devices for your new shared plan (two or more) and the services and accessories for each.

Swapping/Adding to your Existing Everything Plus Account:

If you have an existing Everything Plus or SERO individual line of service and would like to swap to a new family plan, you may call 888-882-4030 to process your request. If you have already purchased an Everything Plus family plan and would like to add one or more additional subscribers to share your minutes, please call 888-882-4030 to process your request. Swapping your current Everything Plus plan or adding additional lines of service to your Everything Plus family plan cannot be performed online at this time.

    Exclusive Pricing

Shop for a Sprint device or rate plan to see the latest Everything Plus pricing which includes three Everything Plus exclusive individual service plans with unlimited data starting as low as $59.99/month! Two Everything Plus Family Plans will now allow you to share minutes with family members at a discounted rate. Through Everything Plus, you can also get great deals on Sprint Mobile Broadband Cards at a monthly service price of only $49.99/month.

I have a question about this plan, hopefully somebody has the answer... It seems like if you get this plan, you have to jump through hoops to get things: Does anyone that has this plan have any problems adding lines/changing plan down the road, upgrading, etc..?

And after signing up, anything other than adding a line can be done through normal retail stores?

I have been looking into the EVO on the sprint network and am thinking it would be smarter for my family to be on the sprint network because the data is included with the plan, whereas I believe, verizon you have to pay $30 for each device.

Now if we were to switch, would our plan be $149.99 with this discount? That is because the first 2 devices are included and the next 2 devices are $19.99 each. Just clarifying my thought process..

Also, I have a few more questions I hope someone could answer or at least point me in the right direction (forum/post/webpage).

    1. Switching carriers we will have different coverage, but from what I have read Sprint can roam on Verizon. Do we pay a rate to roam? How does the coverage compare (maybe thats a bad question..)?

    2. Could someone tell me, hopefully from experience, how switching carriers was for you? One point might be (look at 1) how has coverage been since switching? Or customer service (this is definately a selling point for me)?

    3. Unfortunately we don't have 4G in my area and probably won't within the first year, so it will be a 3G phone. I thought I read that with 3G you have a 5gb cap on data if used as a hotspot, but data is unlimited otherwise.. right??

Keep in mind that I am not the account holder for my family plan, but I feel it would be better financially and well more advantageous (EVO is a great phone with a lot of capabilities) for us to switch. Two of our devices already have data plans and the other 2 are looking to get a data plan.

I am just looking for some helpful information into the whole subject I guess you could say and I would appreciate some knowledge from some knowledgeable people to further my decision for switching carriers. :D

I apologize for the long post..

THANKS for allll the helpful info... the plan was even cheaper than what I thought. :) My zip code is 58104 (North Dakota) and Sprint covers our area, but not much of the rest of ND... That is why I was wondering how coverage and roaming would be with Verizon on the Sprint Network (because I have relatives in parts of the state that don't seem to be in the coverage area), so it would be crucial to know we won't be dropping calls or have poor coverage when we leave town.

When you roam (that is, if you do) do you have problems??

As for the discount you were referring to, would this be added on to the employee discount, or do I just hope its greater than the employee discount? haha

Also, from what I read previously in the thread it says I can only apply the discount online (that is, if I use the employee discount). What if my family wants to go into the store to set up our new account? Do I need to convince them that it needs to be set up online in order to save more money?

BTW, my family is now more interested in switching! Thanks again :D
