Too mamy Patterns attempt

Welcome to Android Forums!

If you are talking about a screen lock password, then after a fixed number of incorrect entries your phone should prompt you for the password for the gmail account the phone is registered to. If that doesn't work, shut off the phone, log into the gmail account on a website and change the password using Google's password recovery. Once the new password is confirmed, turn on the phone and try using the new password.

Please note that the above would only work if the phone had either 3g or WIFI enabled before you became locked out... if not, then it would be a case of having to do a factory reset!

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

I'd recommend performing a factory reset in any case. If this was your sister's phone and you will be using it, you will not want it registered to her gmail account. Thew only way to register a phone to a different account is to perform a factory reset. You can do that with the Galaxy 5 (i5503) by turning the phone off -- pull the battery if necessary -- Then hold down both the volume up AND volume down key and press the call end button. When the exclamation mark is displayed, press the home button and the phone will reboot.
