Root [Verizon] Towelroot Method (4.4.2)

I'm not sure if I did or not.

Right now I'm still rooted.

The only thing I have download is SuperUser. Apk

Do you have a link. So I might be able to properly do it?

Here is where I am.

I did this time successfully install SS.

At first try after installation I hit reboot to recovery. Phone totally flipped. Powered down. I had to remove battery to get phone to turn back on. Which it downloaded SS again on its own and I again installed. But haven't taken it further.....a bit spooked to after the previous power down.

LOL I'm so probably gonna jack me phone. I'm a noob. But yah gotta start somewhere right?

Thank you BrianZ2013 for you help and patience. This did solve my problem. I guess i need to understand a little more before undertaking a task such as this.

I thinking i need to install ROM's of some sort. I plan to continue you following this gentlemen's tutorial and hope i don't jack things up to bad.

If I do , i know the right place to turn for good help :)

I have downloaded hltevzw_jellybeans_b1.zip

I reboot in recovery.

Boot Options/ >>> Stock ROM on right and on the left 4 options ROM slots 1-4

Toying around with ROM Slots one and two. I created "ROM" i suppose prior to having DL Jelly Bean. I have tried to delete these to creations by :

selecting ROM slot 1>>Menu>wipe>>slide bar for factory reset>>Menu>>select ROM slot 1

it does not appear to have changed

I have did the same process then rebooted phone and came back to the same thing.

Am I doing this correct? If not , what is the proper procedure?

custom ROMs (at least Hyperdrive 8) wouldn't boot in any slots except the stock. it's also confirmed you must use stock in the XDA thread, even with Safestrap 3.75. trying to put it into a slot makes the phone boot to a black screen of death. have to pull battery, re-enter recovery and then try stock and it willl work fine. not sure why that is.

I have to do this so I can get the correct terms and problems you are having something is going on and we can't see . so if you know more about rooting you can say things for example : my supersu app wont update. Or mg CLOCKWORKMOD recovery wont update. And to help us out when one say flash the supersu app zip in twrp or cwm you would no exactly what we are speaking about . don't feel ashamed cause we all had to learn someway . funny is that I will brick it and unbrick to learn when, how or what to do to fix it. ... For example you say the android is laying on its side with a red x . you can help us point out how this happened
