Transfering Music, Ringtones ect...

I got the new droid bionic and i am trying to transfer my music from my old phone. Some of the music i downloaded from a music download app and then i have some ringtones that i made with ringtone maker. i have tried copying the files from old sd card to my pc and then putting them on my new sd card but when i click on the files in my phone it says "files not found". I'm fairly new to the smartphone/android world so i'm still learning. Any help would be appreciated.
