Transferring from sd card.

I just received my replacement captivate. I purchased mybackup to copy all of my apps and data to an sd card. Now I can't get the apps and data off the sd card onto my new phone. Help!

Let me start with saying welcome to android forums. As for the files, are they on the internal or external sdcard; and how are you trying to get them off? Also, what is wrong with the old capotivate, does it turn on? If it does and the issue is getting the files off of the internal sdcard, when you plug in the usb cable to a computer, pull down the notifaction bar, select the usb option and choose mount usb or use usb storage mode (or something like that, I can't remeber). You can get an external sdcard, put it in the old phone, use the phone to transer the internal sdcard files to the external sdcard as well. Or is there more information I am missing?
