My wife is deaf and uses her phone only for texting and email. Even though her voice mail greeting clearly states she is deaf and asks that no one leave her a message she still gets one or two voice mails a week.

Is there an app that will shut off her voice mail or translate it to text so that she can read it?

    Thanks
    Mike

Switch to using Google Voice for voicemail. It will send an email or text with the voicemail transcribed.

yes, i second the motion above...google voice can send a text transcription or email or both. also shows a preview of it in the voicemail window itself. it's not always accurate but it can be close to it sometimes.
