I'm considering buying a N1 to take with me to Beijing and Shanghai, then I read the news earlier this month about China pushing for its WAPI as the new ISO wireless networking standard over western wep-wpa/wifi, and that makes me wonder, just how predominant is western wifi vs chinese wapi at hotels, airports, hotspots etc in those two cities.
Calling out isn't an issue, I'm going to buy a china mobile SIM once I get there, but I'm now wondering, am I going to have any trouble getting on a wireless hotspot with my N1 (or my laptop) at the hotels ?
