tried singing in with google account but it says it cant establish a connection

sorry for the long title.. but yeah i want to access the market but when i try to sign in with my correct gogole account with the rite password and username it says it cant establish a reliable conection, and it says this oculd be a temporary problem or my phone doesnt allow data services..

BUT google maps, facebook, the browser, etc all work fine.

and this is on my HTC Desire.

have you tried hooking it up to a wifi network and testing it then? - would show whether it was your sim or your gmail account that's at fault...

Could also try signing in to your gmail account on a pc and see if that works?

Are you sure you have 3g enabled? if not try wifi.
