LauncherPro will do it for you (and really you should have LauncherPro Plus on there, its so much better than TouchWiz its not even funny).

ADW Launcher will too, but then you miss out on the great LauncherPro widgets...

I still prefer the touchwiz widgets.

Is it possible? Yes. Someone has made a touchwiz hack on xda that allows landscape. Is it stable? Not sure.

Ug, I find the TouchWiz widgets unbelievably ugly. Nice thing about Android eh, we don't all like the same stuff, so we can just change what we don't like :)

I don't think that it's possible to remove the TWlauncher, as it is part of the O.S.

The only way would be to have a clean install of Android from another ROM.

I have read that rooted phones can delete factory installed apps. Is the twlauncher one of those? or just ass you said is a part of the os and camt be deleted...?

Can't be deleted, only way to be rid of it is to install some custom ROMs that have it removed (XDA-Developers has more info). I wouldn't bother though, LauncherPro covers the bits I don't like, and leaves some I do (like the toggles in the notifications bar, which incidentally has autorotate toggle in 2.2 firmwares).

YOU DON'T NEED LAUNCHER PRO. I've had my menu in landscape mode twice but i don't know how i did that. i left it at my computer and the app menu was in landscape mode. Later i had my homescreen in landscape mode after i closed an app (can't remember wich one) sorry for all the disturbance just wanted that to be clear...
