Root [TUT] Installing CWM Recovery (v5.0.2.6) & RZRecovery (v2.1.4)

Hey guyz plz help me out!!
When i type the command "fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery5.img" in the command prompt....it says "error" Unable to load recovery 5.img.
And 1 more clarification i need is whether il get a screen to pop up as fastboot mode on my mob or comp.??

Do u have a file named recovery5.img in your CWM-A70 folder?
If no, transfer the downloaded recovery there and rename it to recovery5.img.

Nothing on mobile, you may get on PC.

You can check if the device is connected by typing:

fastboot-windows devices

Do u have a file named recovery5.img in your CWM-A70 folder?
If no, transfer the downloaded recovery there and rename it to recovery5.img.

Downloads:

1.) Grab this: CWM-A70
2.) Then this: Recovery.img

Steps:
1.) Extract the zip file to a folder of your choice.
2.) Rename the downloaded recovery to "recovery5.img" (or whatever you like)
3.) Turn off your mobile.
4.) WHILE HOLDING THE CAMERA BUTTON, Connect the usb cable to the phone (and PC too ).
5.) Open cmd prompt and cd to the directory of your extracted folder.
Example:
If have extracted to D:\CWM-A70, then use:

D:
cd D:\CWM-A70

6.) type:

fastboot-windows flash recovery recovery5.img

7.) type:

fastboot-windows reboot

8.) Done. Check the new recovery or post here for problems


Alternative Method:

hey dude pls tell me complete procedure to install fastboot mode as my a70 has got bricked n only shows micromax logo.. I hav downloaded cwm n fastboot software posted by u I hav also ectracted everythng to 'd' drive n also my windows is installed on 'd' drive so pls tell me that wat to type in cmd prompt and wat and how to boot into recovery

I have struck that I hav only pressed camera button and inserted into USB amd opned command prompt and then typed cd d and location of revoery img hey after that shud I press enter or write the further commands n thn press enter?? n pls help or give advice that next tulime what precautions shud I take aftee root so that it won't get bricked yaar pls tell me sumthn guru! n thanks

Press enter after each command..n make sure dat d directory (i.e D:/........) is totally correct n u hav 2 rename d recovery image file wich u download frn here n replace it with d 1 in d folder..

1)reboot system
2)make partition
3)clear cache memory (or it may be restore factory settings i dont remember properly)....
CAN someone post a screenshot of how the recovery mode looks like in a70 when booted through rom manager.!

So what am i supposed to do to take a backup of my stock rom?? wher am i going wrong...

OR are there any chances that my sd card is corrupted!!?

Plz help i badly want to install a modded rom.so i need to take a backup of my stock rom.!!

You said u tapped backup stock rom option(i assume u talking abt Backup Current ROM option) in rom manager.
Instead select Reboot into recovery option n tell what options do u see in recovery.

im able to see only the following things:-
1)Reboot system
2)Install from sd card:Update.zip
3)clear data/Restore factory settings

Then it is not clockworkmod recovery, it is stock recovery.

Reflash the recovery using the tutorial.

Perhaps the file you downloaded is corrupted or something :/

Its stuck at sending 'recovery'..approx how much tym wil it take to send the file?....i followed ur procedure...but stil i'm facing the same prob....someone plz help me out..
When i open rom manger it shows the cwm recovery version...but when i boot into recovery the stock android recovery is booting up....

when i backup it says some error in backing up sd-ext
then i switched to Recovery 4 from rom manager then backup works perfectly will be posting log file just a few minutes !

Not tried yet...figuring out its benefits n extra features 1st.

RZ recovery is amazing and better to cwm but current one developed for A70 has bugs plz refer to the recovery's thread !
