With dozens of twitter apps in the market it is becoming increasingly hard for people to find the app the suites all their needs. Since this is the first official twitter app, authored directly by twitter, there should be no surprise that this app gets the job done. However useful and functional it may be, there are a few quirky features to sort out. For one, unlike most other twitter apps this app brings all off the apps functions to the home screen in a grid like homepage. I was a little surprised as I am used to seeing tabbed app menus which allow you to see more info in one screen. The most upsetting feature missing from this app would have to be the lack of customization. Many twitter apps like touiteur and twitdroid allow for lots of customization.
Overall this app is great and the pros far outweigh the cons. You can also feel comfortable that your data will be handled securely and that everything will work.
