    1. Can Qik be used for video chat from Evo to Skype? If so how? I am able to do this with Fring, but i was just wondering if Qik can do this as well.

    2. Has anyone had any problems with the weather widget? The stock one that came with the phone. Recently mine has randomly stopped displaying the weather, but it would still show the city i'm in. If i hit refresh it will sometimes display the weather but then it will dissapear again.

#2. I've had the opposite happen a few times. It will lose the city and display "1" or "3" but still show the proper weather. A quick refresh fixes it. It's not a common thing. I'd say twice a week. Hero did the same thing.

Got another question. LOL... So my friends are iphone fans and they have been sending emails out with videos. Everytime i try to open a video attachment through the Evo it says it can be opened. When i open it on my laptop it comes up using quicktime. Do i need to download this on the Evo to make them play?

As far as the weather widget, I ended up replacing the stock one with WeatherBug. It seems to be more reliable, and offers much more information when you open the app itself.

As for quicktime, a couple of google searches found this:

    http://www.fileguru.com/apps/quicktime_player_for_android

    Don't know anything about it.

    .Mov

The exact message says "the content is not supported on the phone. No application can be found to open the file. Do you still want to download it"

Yea... android player doesn't support .mov files. The only thing I can say about that is see if your friends can record them in another format on their phones before sending it. Maybe .mp4?

Create a skype account. Get fring. Login to frings "skyp" plugin using your skype account. When you see a friend online click on their contact and push the video camera button.

So no one knows if Qik can do this? Well what is the purpose for Qik? Is the only way to make video calls is for the other person to have Qik as well?

at this time qik can not be used for skype. skype is coming out with their own app at some point. im sure you can search this on the World Wide Web. Fring is the better and simpler way to video chat to skype folks.. i just did it last night...
