So do you have to keypress into TWRP after installing or can't you just use a rebooter app to reboot into recovery so you don't wipe you're system everytine just to get into recovery?

I was able to flash supersu from twrp, didn't have to unlock the bootloader. But I flashed it with CyanogenMod installed.

And yea it says 4.0, but there's 4.0.1. And such. I know the right king root is partial Chinese, partial English. You'll notice it right away when going to root. The button to root is in English not Chinese. King root 5.0 is out now, idk if it works on the Leon, but it's 100% English AFAIK. Never used a Rebooter, u probably could. AFAIK, the button method doesn't wipe your phone. The first time I used twrp I loaded cm12. But I use the button method to get a access twrp and view my battery life, and not 1nce has it wiped my phone. I think twrp re writes the file, but not the menu text, so it only claims to wipe. Meaning you have to use twrp to do a factory reset.

Twrp isn't based on stock recovery.
If you tried to enter cwm with that keycombo it actually would reset you.

That's what I'm saying. So boot into recovery with an app or somthing to avoid reseting. My question is Don't you have to unlock a phones bootloader in order to have a custom recovery? Unless the custom recovery is lokified like lte2 recovery made by Hroark foe the LG F6

I have had to keypress on a daily due to a mounting issue I was testing and whatknot and if you keypress it does wipe you're ROM you're on at that time and you must flash that much is fact.

Our bootloader is unlocked so no lokified .img. Loki was patched anyway

OK thanks that's the million dollar answer I was searching for, Loki was pitched a? So LG is notorious for locking the bootloader down they must have eased up I take it?

Sweet my Leon is on its way to me now be here in 10 mins so at the beginning of this thread is where I look for proper kingroot? Root it and download TWRP manager off. Playstote patch Leon version and phone and turn phone off then keypress wish I knw all about already and thks for all the info.

No, this is TWRP thread only. Also, your device must either be on software version 10d or 10b to be able to root and use ROMs

Wonder if I could just flash su zip to get rid of kingroot. I'm not to pricey to Android terminal way of goin about gainins su instead of kingroots root right granting you know

You're in the clear.
You could also use LG one click root. It installs SuperSU instead if kinguser or whater it's called.

Damn wished I would have known that before using kingroot now im scared to get rid of it for su, I ran supersume off playstore to make the transition and hit reboot cuz it said the switch was made buuuuuuut reboot no good froze on metro

Try to use the script instead. Worked for me.

Now im in a bind i have super su stuck on my system wanting to update and kinguser crashing i can get root access to any root apps can i un king root and re king root im havin trouble here

I deleted kingroot cuz i had super su on screen now when kingroot installs. It gains root then crashes is there a way to start fresh with kingroot ny systems glitchy and i can delete supersu off pf screen it doesnt even show up nowhere but app drawer its not in my apps under settings notta ughhhh this isnt good

K i rerooted with the latest english version anybody knw if the english versin is the one I need to use supersume The script osnt doin in for me i put it in itnal folder tried it packed unpacked ran sh/sdcard/root. sh and get, dont recovnize script so that hasnt worked for me last go was a real scare flashin it dont work i wonder if i gotta flash it off internal sd not ext which i think i tried both. Super sume I think only works on most updated version can anybody clarify please

Im afraid of that damn supersume wich sucks cuz its workin for other but it hung me a logo after it ran successfull, rebootig rendered it unusefull so metro gave me another leon. They wont do it again I honestly thought id have a harder time gaining TWRP & that went perfect made a nandroid and renamed it in ny filenanager. I was on like 4.0 when i rooted the leon from earlyer then ran supersume and i remember supersu me saying as long as its 4.1 and up supersu me works. Maybe now that Im rooted using 4.5 it would work? Not trying without confermarion though. Google doesnt touch up on my issue anywhere I need anybody who knws more about kingroot versions to use with supersu me. Then i read somthin about runnin antutu benchmark and switchin of a 10% and somthin or other get u su over kingroot idk Im lookin everywhere and it seams theres supersume and the script terminal version. I dont know why terminal isnt pickin up on my su zip huh sooooooo stumped here and it all should be soooooo easy wow im so close to gettin rid of this damn kingroot ughhhh I needs me su man!!!!! HELP!!! Lol, uggghhh boy.

Try running the script in ADB. Make sure the script is on internal SD. Also, what are the numbers 4.0, 4.1 & 4.5 for? It wasn't clear when I was reading your post.
