Does anyone have an idea when we will see one of these apps for android?
A Online Radio lets you play Shoutcast stations.. the same ones from Winamp..
thats what im using but it doesn't have the live stations im looking for.
I see.. well Iheart is still beta.. maybe they will port to Android..
EDIT: I see a lot of recommendations for Streamfurious..
WunderRadio announced on their Twitter feed the other day that an Android version is on the way and they are currently rewriting the code. They stated that they had some difficulties on their first unreleased build with windows media feeds on the G1 and are rewriting for some of the newer handsets.
At least we know it's in production! What I've had to do in the short term for one of my favorite streams is to set it up within Orb and then listen to it that way.
Droid Live (lite and paid versions) might do what you need.
I miss Iheart radio. I had it on my curve and I have it on my Ipod Touch. I would love to see it come to the droid. It had several of my local stations on it.
iheartradio.com will be coming to Android 2.0 in the first half of 2010
Up to 6 months is a long time to wait.
I never heard of Wunder Radio. I want to listen to local stations that are unfortunately owned by Clear Channel. None of their stations stream through Shoutcast so I'll guess I'll wait for iHeart or Wunder Radio..
Streamfurious has very little live stations worth listening to (Stern 101 Westcoast is OK) and uses winamp page to find shoutcast, Cherry Rplayer has a Small listing (4-6, 50/50 AM and FM) per Small amount of major US cities. I also heard early 2010 IHeart will be available as atleast as a Beta
The iHeartRadio app for Android devices debuts Wednesday.
So tomorrow... =)
Official Android page for iheartradio
So iHeartRadio allows the streaming of ClearChannel stations? I might just have to start using that.
Are you serious? Oh I have been waiting a long time for that apparently. I have it for my iTouch and I love will be getting it tomorrow.
Not familiar with iHeart. Am looking forward to Wunderradio because Radiotime seems to have every station available.
I have been using this service for the interim:
Stations | Moodio
You set up you favorite stations and then point your browser to the mobile version and it launches the media player. Has worked for every station I have tried thus far. Only drawback is that you can't do anything else on your phone while streaming.
It will be so nice to have iheartradio on the Droid. Finally I can catch the DVE morning show, and listen to Mike Lange call Penguins games when I'm outside the burgh.
This if very good news. I love Iheart radio. I listen to it on my Ipod Touch and use to on my blackberry curve. I can't wait.
WOW that was quicker then I thought. Just checked on the webpage and it looks like it is almost ready to be released. Hmmmm 17 more min till tomorrow
Wunder teamed up with radiotime and will be releasing andriod OS version.
Got to play with it on a Palm Pre Yesterday and it has a TON more then iHeart from what I could tell (Only got 5 minutes with pre)
i really liked it
Well guess the release wasn't today
I guess not. I checked it several times today Maybe later tonight or tomorrow. I really miss this since coming to the Droid.
Seems like they have every station through Radiotime. I use on desktop often.
iheartradio.com says the app is available on the market.
Your iPhone & BlackBerry & Droid are Now Radios - iheartradio.com 350+ Radio Stations, Videos & More
Just did a search but it's not on there yet..
