My Evo just arrived! I am forcing myself to go have lunch now before I play with it, but I opened the outer box and couldn't help but notice the packaging of the Evo itself. It's not even in a real (square) box, it's in a styrofoam type of thing with a cardboard wrapping around it. Is that normally how they come? The side says "Sprint Re:source" packaging.

Thats how the evo is shipped :D , the only thing you should really look is if the phone itself is wrapped in plastic with a seal/sticker.

Yeah, you might remember reading about it in the reviews, it seems like everybody made a note of it, I guess they were trying to a little less wasteful. Not sure if its HTC or Sprint that made the decision though, as it seems like they went with a more traditional box for the Epic.

I remember when I got my iPod Touch, now that had very small packaging. When it was still wrapped (for christmas) for a moment I thought my parents had bought me a cassette tape.

Yeah, that's the green packaging. It's highly biodegradable... I think "original packaging" is going to be something you rarely see included with used evo's after a year or so.

When I upgrade to the EVO 2. I think I will just keep my EVO, I can think of alot of uses for it.

An upgrade already? Or is that just speculative? As long as it's not earlier than August-ish, since I'll become a Premiere member this December and can upgrade every year now. :)
