OK, so i have installed ultimatejuice, and i am slowly getting the hang of it. however, its not exactly self explanitery in use at times...

i am sure i read somewhere (no idea where though, i just remember seeing it and deciding i wanted that app!), that someone had set it up so that when the phone was plugged into the usb charger (i.e. computer or car charger), then bluetooth would be turned on. but when it was unplugged or plugged into the wall, bluetooth was turned off.
i am 99% sure that juicedefender was the app he used for it, but i cant work out how to do it.

so, im wondering if its because i cant work out how to use the app, or if i have the wrong app? and even if i do have the wrong app, has someone come up with some sort of simplified user guide for it???

    Cheers
    Macca

Sounds like a task killer, is it?

try tasker i think it could do the same if you're able to set it right.
but im not sure though, however, tasker is very powerful tool and i think it would be able to differenciate power difference from USB charger and wall charger so it would switch on or off bluetooth whenever its needed.

Tasker does indeed seem VERY good, infact i think its about to make juicedefender redundant! i have started setting it up and will give it a few days of playing with it (there is a LOT of things it looks like it could do!) then see how we go!

gunna take a bit of playin to work it all out i think!

    Cheers!!

no problem, but if you could post then your settings on how you managed to do your trick with bluetooth would be good as maybe it would help other people who would have the same issue.
    thanx

well i have gotten the bluetooth to work alright, however i have yet to work out how to get it to shut everything off (wifi, bt, 3g etc) and change profile to silent overnight... i have the times right, but it wont change the settings... like i said, more playing with it required i feel.

for the bluetooth, the settings are:
    Context = power source usb
profile = start task [bluetooth on, wifi on]
end task [bluetooth off, wifi off]

works no problems, plug into car charger, bluetooth turns on, radio and phone pair up and i can make calls and listen to music through the radio!

wow well done, good that it worked for you and thanx for posting your settings. just i think with 3g you will have to download APNdroid in order to be able to control it with tasker as it does not handle in-built desires 3g on off switcher.
thanx again and hope it will help to someone else
