We would have been better served if the Bush Admin hadn't lied us into a way against Iraq, and had concentrated on finding the 9-11 planners/perps. Instead, because of the Bush Admin's inability to find them, it tried to satiate the thirst for revenge by going after Iraq, a country that had virtually nothing to do with the al Qaeda attacks.
Except for harboring and aiding the terrorists, but I guess people with shoe bombs and such blowing up stuff in other countries just doesn't count. Only the USA counts

This part of the discussion was over the Bush Admin's deceit in pushing for a second war against Iraq. In re: Saddam, a huge price was paid by the Iraqis for that war, in deaths, dispersion of lawful residents, destruction of infrastructure, and we paid and are still paying a hellacious price. Time will tell whether it was worth what everyone has paid.
