Help Unencrypt File System

Hey guys. As I get to know this device I have noticed that my RAM is always at about 75-80% used. Seems a bit excessive but I have not noticed any performance problems. I saw early on that the file system was encrypted but thought nothing of it until now. Apparently the encrypted file system requires more RAM.
I found this thread:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...-fed-patcher-v8-forceencrypt-disable-t3234422

Just wondering if this is something worth doing or is it a waste of time?

Thanks

As long as you are not having any issues, I'd suggest leaving it as it is. Unused RAM is wasted RAM - let Android handle the RAM management.

I agree with @jj14x just it let be, Android's memory management is pretty sophisticated as is. If the situation was a matter where you had a phone with 1 GB or less it might pay off to tweak the memory a bit but since that's not the case just let Android do its thing.
@ironass and some others posted these articles previously and they're worth repeating:

I'm not used to such a powerful device. I'm fine with leaving it be. I'm just not a huge fan of forced encryption I guess.
I don't use task killers either but I have discovered something about battery life that has changed my point of view on that subject.

So this 75-80% is typical? I am not well versed in how Android uses RAM. If my computer is using 80% RAM then it is because of an intensive operation occurring.
The articles @svim linked to are good ones, and explain it really well

TL;DR - Android will hold recent apps in memory, so that if you launch that app again, it doesn't have to read it from storage to RAM again. If you launch a new app that is not in RAM, and if your RAM is full, the OS will just overwrite some of the app(s) that are already in RAM - it takes no extra time/power to do so.
