Just received my replacement Rezound, starting from scratch is nice but I have a lot of work to do. I had 2 Google accounts and my GMail, Appbrain and YouTube accounts were messed up because of it. I took the time to fix all of that today.
Now moving onto the Apps on the phone. I want the junk off of there. I have none of my old Apps on the phone and I'm not putting anything on there until I get some of this junk off. Can you uninstall the bloat or just "shut it off". Phone just did a ton of updates and most if not all of it I won't even use. Says i can uninstall updates but I can't get rid of the App itself?
Going to take my time and really get the most out of this phone. Really customize it to my liking.

First you have to uninstall the update, then you get the option to disable the app entirely. Both processes are done from the same screen (the button that says "uninstall update" will read "disable app" after you get rid of the update).

You can only remove if you are rooted.... But you can disable... Be sure you uninstall any updates or it will not allow you to disable the app.

I'm currently on Thunderbolt, Rooted with SoaBliss 1.04.. Like it a lot...
Thinking about upgrading to Rezound.. I like HTC phones and this is 2x the spec of TBolt.. and probably the cheapest dual core, 4gLTE phone available.

Now the question, Is the Rezound a good phone to upgrade to? or is it too far outdated? The only other HTC option is DLX (6435) but its not released yet.. and will be $249-299.. Should I wait on DLX or should i go Rezound. Upgrade 09/28.

The Rezound is a rock solid phone, arguably the best screen of any smartphone available and amazing radios, but it comes at the price of battery life... expect less than 3 hours screen on time with a standard battery, so if you are a moderate to heavy user I suggest getting an extended battery right out of the gate.

The Moto Razr Maxx HD looks good, I would play with it before just jumping to the Rezound (it is a year old already), same thing with the Samsung Galaxy S3, give them a whirl, spend some time with them to see what works best for YOU... since it appears you are no stranger to rooting/ROMing, the interface should be only a minor concern since you can run most any launcher/skin you wish.

But be wary of Moto's "root checker", any monkey at the VZW store can see if you phone has been rooted EVER and mark it in your account.

I will say again, if I had to get a new phone today, my choices could be HTC Rezound, HTC Incredible 4G, Samsung GS3, or a Motorola Razr Maxx... And if at all possible do not buy a phone based on it's price, remember you will likely be stuck with it for the next two years so get something that will last you that long, paying $200 might seem like a lot over a free one, but really over two years you are paying $8.33/month extra for something you enjoy over something that just gets you by, most people throw that much away on coffee/soda/candy or whatever in a month.

I came from the TB and I love the Rez. Don't fret the battery life stuff its miles better than the TB so you'll be pleased.

The screen beats anything out there now and the phone is rock solid.

Get a Rez, a second battery and join the party. :-D

Admittedly the Rezound was a bit shaky at launch since the OS did not fully harness the power that was built-in... on ICS, Rezound is a complete beast! Dual-core processor zips along now & battery life has been greatly improved.

The screen has always been drop-dead gorgeous... 720p with an amazing 342 ppi. Seriously, youtube HD vids or Netflix offerings will stop you in your tracks.
