Forget Ebay....use this free unlocker :

    http://www.nextgenserver.com/calculator/

    Enter your IMEI number.

    Select ZTE

Leave the model as ZTE BLUEBELT

Enter the Captcha code and click Order. You'll then receive your unlock code.

Pop a non-Orange sim into your phone, turn it on and when promoted enter the unlock code you've received.

Your phone is now unlocked to all networks :)

This website has an option for both ZTE Blade as well as for ZTE Orange San Francisco so why do you recommend ZTE BLUEBELT

Well originally those options wernt there but selecting ZTE BLUEBELT worked, so it looks like the sites been updated recently to include those options.

I would now go for the Orange San Francisco option

    Cheers

I wondered that when I did mine, but I was recommended to select ZTE BLUEBELT on here so that's what I did and it worked. Either or, it doesn't really matter :)

Maybe a dumb question, but is it a good idea to give out your IMEI to a website?

People always ask this.....but what can anyone actually do with your IMEI number ?? Not alot really.

Besides, is it any different to giving your IMEI number to someone you don't know off Ebay ??

I suppose the worst that can happen is that the IMEI is used in a replica phone, which then uses a stolen SIM, which then gets blocked by the operators. Unlikely I guess.
