Help Unlock Phone with Forgotten Password

Hi Everyone,
My friend has a micromax phone and she forgot her screen lock password
when she puts wrong password 5 times IT says try after 20 seconds ,don’t ask Forget password. what should she do?

I would surmise at some point the device should ask for her google email and password.
If not, she'll have to factory reset it somehow via recovery.

Thanks for your answer. You know a lot about Android if you are a moderator..It may sound dumb, but my dream is to become an Android expert, know everything except app development. What Should I do?

What model is the micromax? A hard reset would get rid of the pass code but obviously would delete all of her data. As long as it's backed up, I'd imagine it would be alright. Just go into recovery and do a factory reset. Turn the phone off, then hold volume up and down and power, this should boot into recovery, then go to erase/format all data.
