Unlocked G1 and apps?

I cannot download apps on my unlocked G1. I am able to access T-mobile Market Place and I am able to pick the app I would like. The download process "begins" but it just sticks on "beginning download" and never actually loads. Does anyone know what to do?

I assume you are not trying to download "Paid Apps" ... these did not work at one time ... not sure if that is still the case ...
I also assume your Carrier is Tmobile?, and that you have a data plan?

(in another post a user confirms: There was a release to the app market that removed the ability to buy paid apps. This only affects the unlocked phones, an DEV1 is an unlocked phone.)

1.) Turn phone off ... remove battery for at least two minutes.
2.) Hold menu key ... until all actions finish from Powering on phone ...
....... At the bottom left corner of the display in transparent text will be the words "Safe Mode"
3.) Power off phone again ... battery out ... wait two minutes
4.) do a normal power on ...

Now check your Market App /// ... download a free app..

Let us know the results ...
