unlocked HERO from Newegg?

I'm planning to buy the HERO from newegg recently, but I am still confuse about some problems.

Can unlocked HERO from newegg work on the T-MOBILE sim card?
I'm using t-mobile pre-paid card now, do I need to do something else to activate the sim card? I don't care about 3G network..
Could you give me some advices about buying HERO from newegg?

There's no problems with T-Mobile on the HTC Hero from Newegg(Bought mine from them about 3 weeks ago and loving it) All you need to do after initial setup is the APN settings which can easily be found with the proper search. But my Hero has no issues, MMS works and everything.

Make sure you have the android plan on your account if you plan on using data

You can find phones for around 550 on Ebay Buy It Now if you want a Black phone. I suggest save a couple of bucks and go for Ebay. But happy buying!
